Our client, a nationally recognized transportation engineering firm, is seeking a **Senior Transportation Planner** to lead multi-modal planning initiatives across urban and regional networks. This is a pivotal role for a licensed professional who combines rigorous technical analysis with the ability to translate complex infrastructure data into actionable policy and design recommendations.
You will work at the intersection of long-range transportation planning, corridor studies, and data-driven demand modeling — contributing to projects that shape how millions of people move through American cities. - Coordinate environmental review documentation under NEPA, including Environmental Assessments (EAs) and Environmental Impact Statements (EISs)
- Prepare and present technical reports, planning exhibits, and public meeting materials for city, county, and MPO audiences
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams of civil engineers, urban designers, and environmental scientists to deliver integrated transportation solutions
- Support the development of TIGER, RAISE, INFRA, and other federal discretionary grant applications
- Mentor junior planners and provide technical QA/QC review on deliverables

## Preferred Qualifications
- AICP certification from the American Institute of Certified Planners
- Experience with microsimulation tools (VISSIM, SimTraffic) for intersection and network analysis
- Familiarity with active transportation planning — bicycle, pedestrian, and shared mobility networks
- Grant writing experience for RAISE, INFRA, or BUILD discretionary programs
