Senior Concrete Inspector

Our Atlanta client, a growing special-inspection and materials firm, is seeking a Senior Concrete Inspector to serve as the technical authority and mentor on concrete quality across the metro's expanding construction market. Atlanta's mix of commercial, data-center, and infrastructure work demands inspectors who can handle unusual systems and develop the team around them. This is a role for someone who enjoys being the go-to expert and developing the next generation of inspectors.

About the Role

Your days will combine specialized inspections, report review, and mentorship. You'll handle the unique and high-performance concrete systems that come up, review your team's documentation for accuracy, and serve as the technical expert engineers and management turn to. You'll also build inspection procedures, run audits, and train junior staff. Data-center and large commercial pours mean you'll see demanding, schedule-driven work.

By six months you'll be the trusted technical resource on your projects, your team's documentation quality will have risen under your review, and you'll have mentored junior inspectors into stronger performers. You'll have built repeatable procedures that improve consistency across the team.

What You'll Do

• Provide technical expertise on all concrete-related quality matters
• Train and mentor junior inspection staff in advanced techniques and professional standards
• Conduct specialized inspections of unique and high-performance concrete systems
• Review inspection reports and documentation prepared by team members for accuracy and completeness
• Implement quality-assurance procedures and conduct periodic audits of inspection processes
• Develop inspection procedures specific to project requirements and specifications
• Coordinate concrete testing programs and interpret results for compliance determination
• Lead problem-solving for concrete quality issues and present findings to stakeholders
• Serve as technical advisor to project engineers and management

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field, or equivalent inspection experience
• PE license or equivalent professional credential
• 6–7 years of concrete inspection experience with demonstrated technical expertise
• Strong interpersonal, training, and mentoring skills
• Excellent technical documentation and communication skills
• Valid driver's license
• ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician — Grade I (mandatory)

Preferred Qualifications

• ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician — Grade II and ACI Concrete Strength Testing Technician
• ICC Reinforced Concrete Special Inspector certification
• Experience with data-center or large commercial construction
• Familiarity with high-performance and specialty concrete systems
• Working knowledge of digital QA/QC and inspection-management platforms
